A Bit About Me & How to Contact Me

My name is Rotem Cohen. I live in Eilat, Israel with my wife Ronit and our young son Gilad. I’m in my 30′s and I’m a recovered ‘sleep addict’… :-)

Rotem CohenFor most of my life I used to oversleep pretty often. Ten hours sleep was normal for me, and sometimes I slept up to 14 hours a “night”. I couldn’t control myself!

During years of struggle I tried various ways to reduce sleep and increase my energy level, from annoying alarm clocks to mantras and meditation…

I’ve done so much research that I’ve become an (uncertified) expert in the areas of sleep, energy and motivation…

These days I wake up easily at 5:00AM (even on days off!) and I have more energy than I’ve ever had.

A-Sleep! was my first website. I started it in 2006, to share some of the information and resources that helped me overcome of my oversleeping problem.

A couple of years later I started Energy & Motivation, which is my main focus since then. It’s all about helping you become highly energetic self motivated.

In case you were wondering about my relationship with the products that I recommend, let me make this clear…

I buy information products online quite often, mainly in the ‘self-help’ area. Products that I like and find helpful, I sometimes recommend to others. Some publishers pay commissions for referred sales, so I earn a commission whenever someone buys through my link.

Please feel free to contact me with any comment, questions or suggestion…

thank you! i am going to try to not sleep so much. i am finishing up my masters, and need naps, even after sleeping 10 hours at night. it’s terrible, i have been sleeping instead of exercising (i will go out for a run, but come back in need of sleep). at work i almost always try to take naps on breaks. it’s really becoming a problem to me=- i have lost a lot of my strength and athletic ability to napping! your site is positive and great. i look forward to following some of your points.

Sarah, thanks a lot for your feedback.

If you’re in bad shape or haven’t been exercising for a while, it may be a good idea to start with simply walking. After the workout, drink lots of water and then have an energizing snack, like some fruit. Then take a quick cold shower and then… go on with your day. Try it and tell me how it worked.

Hey, I used to oversleep all I could, mostly just weekends but if I could on a weekday I would. Now I have a job from 6PM to 4AM and I have to get smaller amounts of sleep to have any kind of a day, usually 7-8 hours of sleep.

I’ve noticed a lot of things are better in my life and I’ve started working out, and after reading all this I’m SURE that a lot of things that I hated about life are getting better, but I still love to sleep more and have trouble waking up later (although I’m getting a new bed in tomorrow so maybe that will give me a better sleep).

I was just wondering what would be help me get up early when I don’t want to. Thanks!

  3. We offer good solutions for snoring during pregnancy.

Snoring and Pregnancy: What is Dangerous?

Considering the many phases of physical changes that usually occur during the different stages and months of pregnancy, it should not be surprising that women tend to snore during this time. Snoring on a regular basis happens to be one of the physical changes that quite a number of women face. With the average percentage of women that are considered to be habitual snorers is approximately 4%, when it was studied, it showed that there is a large increase in these percentages with at least 30% of women finding themselves to be nightly snorers, by the end of their pregnancy.

Snoring is not a problem that starts to happen from the first week during the pregnancy, but instead it may happen during the second trimester, and is even more common during the third trimester of the pregnancy. The main reason that leads to snoring during pregnancy is the high increase in body mass, especially during the later stages of pregnancy directly due to the natural process of weight gain. When there is an excessive or over excessive amount of weight gain during pregnancy, the chances of snoring increase dramatically.
